WHO WE ARE

She’s in Records is a label dedicated to retro musical styles from the 1950’s to the 1980’s; from uptown blues and rockabilly, to cosmic country, psych rock, proto punk, shock rock and glitter rock, to blues punk, cow punk, neo garage, surf, and film noir.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Our mission statement to bands is equivalent to a fee for service investment broker: We make money when you make money. Bands that work with us can be assured that you will be treated with courtesy, dignity, and respect and that your royalties, rights, and merchandise are the product of your artistic imagination and rightfully belong to the creator. We are committed to this principle because we are musicians too.

HOW WE WORK

Bands record and mix music at their own expense. We can make suggestions for appropriate studios and engineers, and negotiate a favorable rate on your behalf, but this is a courtesy rather than a fee-based service. The label will use a preferred mastering engineer and then release and register your music with all royalty granting organizations.

 

All royalties and rights will go to the artist. You own your masters. We will make our money on sync licensing.

 

Artists have right of refusal over how their music is licensed. If successfully placed, label will be compensated for all previously accrued expenses related to the song or album and take a percentage of the sync license payment upon mutual agreement with the band. This is
business conducted ethically and transparently.
